At mbuy, we provide a platform that connects buyers and sellers. We do not own, control, or manage the products listed on our platform, nor do we handle payments or deliveries. As such, all refunds, returns, and dispute resolutions must be arranged directly between buyers and sellers.
The following policy outlines guidelines to help ensure fair and safe practices.
1. Refunds and Returns
- Buyer Responsibility: Buyers must carefully inspect products and confirm details with sellers before making a payment.
- Seller Responsibility: Sellers are encouraged to clearly state their return/refund terms in the product description.
- Agreements: Any refund or return arrangement is solely between the buyer and the seller. mbuy is not responsible for enforcing or guaranteeing these agreements.
2. Disputes Between Buyers and Sellers
- If a dispute arises, buyers and sellers should first attempt to resolve the matter through direct communication.
- In cases of suspected fraud, counterfeit goods, or misrepresentation, users are encouraged to report the issue to mbuy administration for review.
- While mbuy does not intervene in financial disputes, we may take action against sellers or buyers who violate our Terms & Conditions (e.g., suspension, listing removal, account termination).
3. No Platform Liability
- mbuy does not guarantee the quality, condition, safety, or legality of products listed by sellers.
- mbuy is not liable for any losses, damages, or disagreements arising from transactions between buyers and sellers.
- Responsibility for refunds, exchanges, and guarantees rests entirely with the seller.
4. Recommended Best Practices
- For Buyers:
- Pay using safe methods such as cash on delivery.
- Inspect products thoroughly before payment.
- Keep proof of all communication and receipts.
- For Sellers:
- Provide accurate descriptions and original photos of items.
- Clearly state your return or refund policy in the listing.
- Honor any agreements made with buyers.
5. Fraudulent Activity
- Any fraudulent, abusive, or dishonest practices (e.g., selling counterfeit goods, refusing agreed refunds) may result in account suspension or permanent removal from mbuy.
- Serious cases may be reported to relevant law enforcement authorities in the Maldives or Malaysia.
